Troupe Ta’amullat was founded in 1976 by Suheyla (Kate McGowan) from her advanced classes. The Troupe presented full-length folkloric concerts and sponsored yearly seminars called The Rites of Spring.
Troupe Ta’amullat was the first and is the longest continuing dance troupe in Michigan devoted to the folkloric and classical styles of the Middle and Near East.
The Troupe has performed in concerts, festivals, musicals, schools, and for private gatherings in Canada, New York, and throughout the Midwest.
